R. Kevin Hinton, CPA

Kevin is a Central Valley native, raised in Fresno and taking his first public accounting job in Modesto. After returning to Fresno, Kevin developed a strong relationship with Robert Wiebe—first as a mentee and then in a partnership.

Away from work Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, Hylin, and their four children. He is an active dad, handling early morning carpools, sports games, and cross-country moves for his college-age children.

Experience

Kevin graduated from California State University, Fresno in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and in 1995 was issued his CPA License. In his early accounting career in Modesto he gained experience in agricultural and hospitality industries, with an emphasis in taxation. He applied this knowledge when he returned to Fresno and joined Robert Wiebe in 1997 to join a firm that focused on real estate.

In December 2002, Kevin joined Robert as a partner to form Wiebe & Associates, CPA, LLP. Kevin’s ability and talent for untangling and applying the tax code made him the expert partner for taxation. This expertise helps our clients to stay ahead of any legislation change, tax impacts and to take advantage of short- and long-term planning opportunities.

Practice Specialties

Kevin enjoys the challenges of tax laws and regulations and uncovering creative solutions for the firm’s clients is a source of great satisfaction. His focus is to stay ahead of the game when it comes to tax planning services.

General practice specialties include tax planning, business planning, gain on real estate sale analysis, multi-state returns, gift tax planning, and property tax planning.

Community Involvement

Kevin and his family are involved with their church and school activities. Annually, Kevin spends a week at the children’s church camp helping to prepare hundreds of meals for the campers.
